Mariners Landing Townhome Association
Parking Policy
In order to promote a community atmosphere, the Mariners Landing Townhome Association's Board of Directors has adopted these parking guidelines.
The Board will assign two parking spaces per unit. The Board will assign two parking spaces per unit. Assignments will be made in an attempt to have at least one parking space in front of each unit. Spaces will be marked. The assigned spaces may be used by members to park their own vehicles or they may reserve them for their guests. Trading, switching, or allowing use of a space by a neighbor may be done, if both parties agree to the change. These agreements can be revoked or modified by the original "owner" of the space only after giving reasonable notice to the other.
Guest or visitor parking is restricted to designated areas or properly assigned spaces. Signs will inform guest and visitors at each entrance. No vehicle should be parked in guest parking for more than 7 days without management approval. Guest parking is not for third (or fourth) vehicles.
Enforcement of this policy will be accomplished primarily through a "considerate neighbor" principle. Each homeowner may use only their assigned spaces or guest parking. If a vehicle is parked in an assigned space that is not theirs, the "space owner" should remind the violator of the parking guidelines. Remember, we are neighbors and should treat each other with respect.
No parking space may be used for the storage of a vehicle. Stored vehicles include vehicles without proper licensing/tagging, vehicles on blocks, inoperable vehicles, etc.
Repeated violations should be reported in writing to Victory Management or to the Board of Directors. Documentation of the violations must accompany your complaint (date, time, what remedy you tried). The Board will then get involved. First a written notice will be issued. If no communication with management occurs, owner may be fined and /or vehicle may be towed at owner's expense.
Note: Although the term “space owner” is used above, the actual ownership of all parking spaces and the common areas is by the Mariners Landing Townhome Association, Inc. and not by any individual person or townhome.
